Event kick-off in autumn: book launch & short film programme

As the days get shorter, the HMKV invites you to a book presentation and a short film programme and presents two special highlights to kick off the autumn events.

On Wednesday, 23 October 2024, the book launch of Tutorials will take place at 19:00. Author Inke Arns and co-editor of the ‘Digital Image Cultures’ series at Wagenbach publishing house, Wolfgang Ullrich, will talk about the role of tutorials between altruistic help and influencer careers. Inke Arns already dealt intensively with the topic in 2014. The exhibition she curated, ,Jetzt helfe ich mir selbst (Now I Can Help Myself) - Die 100 besten Video-Tutorials aus dem Netz’ from 2014, is available in the HMKV archive and is a good way to get into the mood for the evening.

On Thursday, 24 October 2024, the HMKV will present the short film programme In Her Shoes, curated by Florian Wüst and Silke Schönfeld, at 19:00. The film screening will be followed by an artist talk.

Admission to both events is free of charge, registration is not required.
