Ignas Krunglevicius: Hard Body Trade
HMKV Video of the Month
On view 1 – 30 April 2016
A flight through snow-covered mountainscapes. The images look artificial, but the video uses stock footage. A computer-generated voice sings, or rather speaks, to an R&B tune:
“As we are leaving the protein centric world view, you are not sober.
Replaying the Turing test over and over.
Do you know that feeling, honey,
when Candy Crush is asking for your money?
We are sending you a message. Real time.
The interface you see is in its prime.
Here and now. Don’t be afraid. There is no cost.
The saw blade stops when it touches something soft.
We are the brand new.
We wear masks just like you.
We are replacing things with math,
while your ideas are building up in your body like fat.
Anxiety. Violence loop.
Sorting algo plugs in, for your specific age group.
Voices in your head do interfere.
The other is also you and it does not care.
Dark liquidity, hard body no organs - do this trade.
We are performing your last cognitive upgrade.”
