As part of the series of events Die Stadt von Oben (The city from above) Deutschlandradio Kultur’s nationally broadcast program will be a guest in the cinema of the Dortmunder U on November 26 and 27.
On November 27, Deutschlandradio Kultur is presenting the sound-art piece “Minigolf” (Miniature golf) live in the cinema of the Dortmunder U. The play, by the writer for radio, composer, and sound artist Alessandro Bosetti of Milan will be performed by the Neue Vocalsolisten of Stuttgart.
Minigolf examines the question what might be the acoustic equivalent of a peephole and explores the history of radio during the thirty years of the previous century when there was no editing, sound effects, or stereophony on the radio. The radio as peephole: an experimental setting on the stage.
A discussion with Alessandro Bosetti and Marcus Gammel, head of the Department of Radio Art at Deutschlandradio Kultur, will follow.
Admission is free.
