Radio-Revue Oder „Ich bräuchte jemanden, der mich mir zurückgibt“ (1960/61) Versuch einer von mehreren Möglichkeiten
Lautsprecher | Dortmunder U
Starting in September 2016 HMKV presents, in cooperation with Deutschlandradio Kultur, a new series in the Lautsprecher:
THE CITY AS SEEN FROM ABOVE – Audio works and artistic radio features addressing the city and public space.
The view on the city becomes a constitutive element of the sound works: No matter if we listen to administrative officers who are secretly smoking on the rooftop and chatting about their problems or whether we listen to federal homeland security agents during an observation of suspect person in a hotel room across the street – one has the impression that these things are literally taking place in front of the window.

Dauer 44:08 Min.
Radio Revue is an acoustic archeology in six stages, each with their own characteristics. Various islands of memory rise out of a stream of names in biographically chronological order, between Düsseldorf, Angermund, Dortmund, Königsfeld, Solingen, Bad-Sachsa, Heidelberg, Düsseldorf again, Dodenburg, Dunum, Burgen, Dresden and Prague. The various chapters of life corresponding to these geographical stations are presented indirectly in a radio composition of letters, early poems, theater scenes, later radio works, acoustic time signals, musical fragments etc.: A home story of a special kind, which could also have been “told” in any other way.
Ferdinand Kriwet, born in 1942 in Düsseldorf, writer and mixed media artist, lives in Dresden. He became known in the 1960s with his innovative radio works, entitled „Seh- und Hörtexte“ (Texts to see and to listen to). Most recently: „Rotoradio“ (DKultur/WDR 2012).
