As part of the Computer Grrrls exhibition, the HMKV is showing a film programme at the Schauburg and sweetSixteen cinemas in Dortmund. Admission is free.
In the year 2060, mankind has finally won the battle against the HI virus and the world is declared AIDS-free. However, the virus that causes the immunodeficiency disease has not yet completely disappeared. Instead, it has adapted and continues to survive in a group of people. These people, called Zero Gen, now produce an intoxicating and addictive drug in their bodies, which is excreted via their ejaculate and can be consumed by other people through skin contact. However, the drug, called Delta, and the Zero Gens are also soon declared illegal and are to be tracked down and arrested with the help of androids resistant to the drug. But even the androids are not completely immune to the effects of the drug, as soon becomes apparent...
Fluidø (2017) is the third porn feature film by multimedia artist and queer icon Shu Lea Cheang (FRESH KILL, I.K.U.). Born in Taiwan in 1954, she lived in New York City for two decades. Cheang currently lives and works in Paris.

The Computer Grrrls film programme runs from 19 January to 23 February, always at prime time on Saturday evenings and with free admission - with films by Shu Lea Chang, Manu Luksch, Lynn Hershman Leeson and Nathalie Magnan (to whom the Computer Grrrls exhibition is dedicated).
